This is a highly staged living board composed of vertical latticework. Because of its simple configuration with no doors but only a lattice, access to the storage is from the side. The vertical lattice gives a sense of openness when viewed from the front, but from a slightly oblique angle, it blocks the openness of the space, so the view changes depending on the angle of view and the movement of the people. It can also be used as a divider to loosely divide a space.

This living board is geometrically composed of face and bar parts in the motif of the shelves called “ Chigai-Dana” found in Japanese architecture. While its existence itself has a dramatic effect, it also serves as a background for arranging decorative objects in the space.
